Nele / Nash DP

Nash DP:
Nash is a multidisciplinary artist whose heart beats for poetry and theatre. Driven by a deep need for self-expression, their work explores the boundaries of the uncomfortable, the parts of humanity we sometimes wish to hide. They experiment freely across art forms, from sewing and crocheting to painting, always in search of new ways to create. Inspired by artists who dared to be different and wove activism into their practice, especially queer artists, Nash consciously embeds their queerness into every piece they make. To them, existing is an act of creation in itself.

Nele:
Through Gen-zie, a platform giving young artists the space to create freely, Nele rediscovered her love for making art. That moment marked the beginning of a conscious artistic journey.

Entirely self-taught, she has since embraced every opportunity to grow: exploring new techniques, discovering her own style, and constantly pushing herself. Her work is driven by pure curiosity and determination no formal training, just an honest desire to learn and create.

Tussen de stenen / Between the stones

80x55 cm

Acrylic paint, builders' foam & miniature model moss

"Tussen de stenen" is a collaboration between a painting and a poem, two works that breathe the same air. The painting depicts Vlaeykensgang, one of Antwerp's most intimate and iconic alleyways, rendered at night with a texture that makes the cobblestones feel tangible and alive. The poem wanders those same streets, tracing the feeling of arriving somewhere that already knows you, a city where you can lose yourself, start over, and be celebrated for exactly who you are. Together, they explore Antwerp as a place of belonging: layered, alive, and safe within its stones.
