Project subsidy for supralocal cultural projects

A project subsidy for supralocal culture projects is financial support for cultural organizations and youth organisations  give them the opportunity to experiment and grow within their practice. Multi-year projects (up to a maximum of three years) are also eligible for subsidy.
The project subsidy for supralocal culture projects focuses on policy priorities, as described in the
supralocal culture decree . These policy priorities have been established for the submission rounds from November 15, 2020 to May 15, 2025:

  1. Responding to societal challenges by striving for maximum cultural participation

  2. Creating added value by connecting your own strengths through collaboration

  3. Focus on new and young talent by offering development opportunities

International projects

The Flemish government also looks beyond national borders and subsidizes international initiatives for amateur arts, which are organized in Flanders. For projects abroad, the government offers an intervention in the travel costs.

Finally, there is also the option of co-financing international projects.
Amateur arts organisations, amateur arts groups or individual amateur artists can submit an application for a project subsidy within the Amateur Arts Decree. There are three subsidy lines within this section for international projects
