HOMELANDS


PROJECT
Fameus is looking for participants to create a work of art with artist Alida Heikerk.

She is a jewelry maker. For 5 months you can make a work of art every week at Fameus.

At the end of the 5 months there is 1 large work of art. These workshops are free.

HOMELANDS
The theme 'HOMELANDS' is our source of inspiration. What does it mean to feel at home, to belong to a city, a community, a neighbourhood, …? We're thinking about this.

WHO
Anyone who likes to create a work of art together & can commit themselves for a long period of time.
You are over 15 years old.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Period from the end of January to the end of May -1 times a week

  • Mon 27/01            from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm

  • Thu 06/02             from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm

  • Fri 14/02              from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm

  • Thu 20/02             from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm

  • Mon 24/02              from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm

  • Wed 04/03         from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm

  • Wed 11/03         from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm

Workshops are canceled due to the safety measures regarding COVID19.

New dates will be confirmed in the fall.

HOMELANDS

These workshops are part of a larger whole in which eight artist-newcomers commit themselves over a period of 6 months in tandem with 7 Belgian socio-cultural partners. The project is called Homelands Places of belonging.
