OPEN CALL: EXPORT

Do you want to fully immerse yourself creatively and follow workshops for 4 days under the guidance of a visual artist? Then join EXPORT.

Fameus will open its doors to 60 visual artists from 21 to 24 May 2020 thanks to a unique and new concept.

During 4 days you will create a new work of art in 5 groups that will be visible on the last working day during an open studio moment. Source of inspiration are photos from the FOMU archive.

Coaches in the categories photo & film, drawing, painting and sculpture will work with you.

The focus of the working week is on your process and growth, the open studio moment becomes an opportunity to show your hard work!


INSPIRATION MOMENT

We are invited to the FOMU, get to know the coaches personally and the concept is explained in detail. Confirm your presence via gwen@fameus.be.

If you really can't be there at the information moment, but you would still like to participate, please let us know in advance.

COACHES

You will be guided by professional artists. Tina Herbots and Photography Nelly Oliha (photography), Fleur De Roeck (installation) and Hussein Shabeeb (sculpture/installation), David Katshiunga (painting), Maryam Kamal Hedayat (film/experimental).

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Visual artists in various disciplines:
photo & film, drawing, painting and sculpture

On May 22, duos can also participate. Mum, dad, grandma, grandpa, best buddies and their kids can participate in EXPORT. At least one member of the duo is under 16 years of age. They will make a work of art on 1 day under the guidance of Wilde Raven, which will also be shown on May 24th.

+ 16 years: working period 21 - 24 May
duo with at least 1 member - 16 years: working period 22 May
