Where is my bike?

Framed – 40x50 cm

Watercolor on paper

This watercolor diptych is about me losing my bike in Antwerp. At first, I assumed it had to be somewhere in that dense column of bicycles, so I started looking more closely. But searching through so many bikes at once quickly became confusing – handlebars, wheels, frames, and locks all overlapping and blending together. The longer I looked, the more disorienting it felt, as everything began to look the same. What started as a simple search slowly turned into frustration and uncertainty. In the end, I realized that the bike I was looking for was simply not there anymore. Feels like I still search for it.
