Het gebeurt vaak dat anderen beslissen hoeveel plaats er is voor jou of voor jou verhaal. Er wordt nog steeds vaak verwacht dat je je op een bepaalde manier gedraagt of uit. Daardoor wordt er maar een stuk van wie je bent geaccepteerd, in plaats van het hele menszijn te zien.
Exter (1999 NL-BE) is an artist who makes paintings and installations. She draws inspiration from her neurodivergent way of life. This frequently results in big colourful paintings an installations. With her unique use of colour she creates her own language that bridges the communication gap the artist often experiences. In many cases the work can be considered from different perspectives and invites you to consider yourself and others in relation to the work, this way the artist calls for participation from the audience.
